Brisbane City Council’s grants programs provide funding to help local not-for-profit organisations to develop and improve facilities and services in Brisbane.
Every day, Council works with residents and local communities to help make our city what it is today with a long-term vision for the future.
The grants list below will help you find the most suitable grant program for your organisation.

Building Stronger Communities Grant Program
Not-for-profit clubs and organisations needing to develop, maintain or improve their facilities may apply for grants of up to $100,000. If your organisation would like to improve its management capabilities in areas such as planning, governance and training, grants of up to $7500 are available.
Applications are now open and close on Monday 23 October 2017.
Community Development and Capacity Building Grants
If your group undertakes projects that increase community connection, help address social issues or builds skills and knowledge within your organisation or community to better respond to local needs, then you may be eligible for grants valued from $2000 to $10,000.
Applications are now open and close on Monday 9 October 2017.
If you are part of a Men’s Shed group, this grant will help you improve your facilities or purchase new equipment and materials. Funding ranges from $2000 to $20,000.
Applications are now open and close on Monday 9 October 2017.
Community history groups and historians are encouraged to apply for a Brisbane History Grant. This grant supports projects that increase the community’s access to and appreciation of Brisbane’s history and heritage. Funding ranges from $5000 to $20,000.
Applications are now open and close on Monday 16 October 2017.
Are you a seniors’ group member? Then be sure to apply for this donation to help your group to fund activities such as social outings and Christmas parties. Funding ranges from $100 to $300.
Applications are now open and close on Tuesday 3 October 2017.
