Active Clubs Kickstart Round 2 Now Open

Round 2 of COVID SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart is now open!

Round 1 saw the Queensland Government provide more than 3,800 sport and active recreation organisations with $7.6 million in funding to support their activities and encourage Queenslanders to return to play.

The program supports the sport and active recreation community to restart activities and get back on track as they navigate the ‘new normal’. The program is part of the Sport and Recreation COVID SAFE Restart Plan.

COVID SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart provides funding of $2,000 to assist not-for-profit local and regional sport and active recreation organisations re-establish their operations in a COVID-safe environment. Funding is available for equipment, training and operational expenses.

A Stakeholder Kit is included to help promote Active Clubs Kickstart to clubs and networks. It contains background information, key dates and social media content to help get the word out.

Applications for Round 2 opened on Monday 12 April and will close on Wednesday 5 May.

To apply for funding under this program, your organisation must be registered in the Sport and Recreation Grant Registration Portal (GRP).

Applications must be submitted using the online application form by 5pm on Wednesday 5 May 2021.
