The $5 million Active Industry Project Fund Super Round

This Queensland Government initiative is aimed at making the sport and active recreation industry more welcoming and flexible for Queenslanders and offers a unique funding opportunity to support athlete pathways in Queensland’s sport and recreation sector.

Over the course of two years, a substantial $5 million in funding will be available to eligible state-level sport and active recreation organisations and peak bodies, providing grants ranging from $20,000 to $100,000.

Responding to your feedback, the Active Industry Project Fund has combined two funding rounds into one. This streamlining reduces administrative hurdles and allows for better project planning.

Projects will fall into two main categories:

  • Participation: Focused on encouraging and increasing participation in sport and active recreation among Queenslanders.
  • Talent Pathways: Centred around nurturing and supporting talent within the sport and active recreation industry.

Key Dates

  • Super Round opens 7 February 2024
  • Super Round closes 1 March 2024 at 5pm (AEST)
  • Successful projects announced May 2024
  • Projects can commence July 2024
