Chloe Esposito wins pentathlon for Australia

Australia's first medal for outdoor recreation!

Chloe Esposito won gold in the women’s modern pentathlon ( running, shooting, horse riding, swimming and fencing) at the Rio Olympics, Australia’s first ever medal in the event.

But, if like the rest of Australia you were very confused when Esposito stopped in the middle of an 800m run to pick up a pistol, do not worry.

Let’s celebrate the win from an outdoors perspective: 4 of the five elements are basically outdoor pursuits. Running, horse riding, shooting and swimming all got their start as outdoor activities!

So Chloe Esposito, one of Australia’s finest athlete’s winning the Australia’s first medal for outdoor recreation!  🙂
