Safer Pathways Survey

Safer Pathways Survey

How members walk, cycle, and use personal mobility devices and scooters.

Posted on 14.07.2022

RACQ is conducting its first Safer Pathways Survey to better understand how members walk, cycle, and use personal mobility devices and scooters.

The aim of this project is to learn where there are unsafe or deficient pathways. Deficient pathways can include those with inadequate infrastructure design standards, user perception of deficiency or missing sections. Basically, a deficient pathway is one that you’re hesitant to use.

We will use the Safer Pathways Survey findings to:

  • Understand hot spots across the active transport network.
  • Advocate for a better active transport network and facilities.
  • Help road authorities prioritise new projects and upgrades.
