Volunteering QLD Webinars

Upcoming webinars & training

Posted on 21.08.2020

Volunteering Queensland has engaged Justice Connect Not-for-profit Law to deliver live interactive webinars that explore relevant legal topics, tailored for volunteer management in Queensland.

All Justice Connect Not-for-profit Law training sessions are delivered by qualified lawyers with specialist expertise in the areas of law that affect not-for-profits and charities. All their lawyers have experience in delivering legal training to community organisations and many also volunteer on boards. This experience means that they understand the context in which community organisations operate, sector terminology, and the importance of providing clear, plain-language legal information.

These webinars are designed to encourage questions, discussion, and active involvement, with case studies, quizzes, small group work, and real-life scenarios.

  • Safety, Risk and Insurance for Volunteer Involving Organisations (Wed 2 September, 9:30am – 12:30pm)
  • Managing volunteers and the Law (Wed 9 September, 9:30am – 12:30pm)
  • Managing a mixed workforce (Wed 16 September,10am – 12pm)

Other webinars on offer include:

  • Surprising ways volunteers can help your organisation thrive in 2020 and beyond (Thurs 27 August, 9am – 10am)
  • The value of storytelling to volunteers and supporters (Tues 15 September, 10am – 11am)
