The Great Getaways program, developed by the Australian Camps Association (ACA), has been running very successfully in Victoria for several years. These outdoor activity programs for over 55’s have been hosted by Australian Camps Association members since 2017
We are delighted to announce that Outdoors Queensland is working with the ACA to make these camps available to older Queenslanders.
If you are interested in learning more about the research underpinning the Great Getaways, the practicalities of hosting camps for older adults and the opportunity to be part of this program in Queensland, please register on Zoom and join us for an afternoon of information and inspiration.
The session will be hosted by Pete Griffiths, the CEO of the ACA and will run for approximately 1 hour. Participants are encouraged to ask questions.

This session is a pre-qualifying event and must be attended by any QLD camp wishing to host Great Getaways in 2021/22.
