Tourism Business Capability Subsidy
This subsidy offers up to $2,000 to eligible Queensland tourism and event businesses to support targeted training or accreditation that builds skills, confidence and capability. Whether you’re a sole trader or a small to medium-sized business, it’s designed to help strengthen your business and enhance the experiences you deliver to visitors.
The program supports a wide range of industry-recognised training and accreditation, delivered by trusted tourism organisations, with a focus on practical skills that make a real difference on the ground. From sustainability and accessibility to sales, guiding and risk management.

The Heart Foundation’s Active Australia Innovation Challenge is offering grants of $10,000, $20,000 or $30,000 for new, innovative programs that get more people moving in local communities.
They’re looking for exciting and new approaches that are tailored to the unique needs of your community. Whether it’s a fresh concept or a clever twist on an existing idea, the goal is simple: help your target group move more and have fun doing it.

Queensland not-for-profit groups can now apply for funding through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF). This is one of the state’s largest annual community grant programs.
The GCBF supports eligible not-for-profit organisations to deliver projects and services that benefit local communities. Grants of up to $35,000 are available for a wide range of needs, including community events, equipment purchases, facility improvements, vehicles, training and more.
Applications for the current round close at midnight on 28 February 2026, with outcomes expected around 4–5 months after the round closes.
To be eligible, your organisation must meet the GCBF’s requirements for legal or sponsored entities before applying through the online grants portal.

Through Ausgrid’s Grants for Good, not-for-profits and community organisations can apply for funding up to $15,000 for projects that align with themes like community connection, equity and accessibility, safety, and sustainable electrification. Two types of grants are available: Electrification Grants (up to $15,000) and Grassroots Grants (up to $5,000), making this a great fit for local groups with practical, community-focused ideas.

The Pride Foundation Australia Small Grants Program offers micro-grants of up to $1,000 for individuals, groups, and community organisations. The Department of Primary Industries has opened a new round of biosecurity grants, with funding of $15,000 to $30,000 available for projects that improve awareness, capability and innovation in Queensland’s biosecurity system.
The Enhancing Biosecurity Capability and Capacity Grants Program supports initiatives that help prevent, prepare for, detect and respond to biosecurity risks across Queensland’s landscapes, industries and communities.
Organisations within the outdoors and recreation sector may be well placed to apply. Eligible projects could include initiatives that reduce the spread of invasive weeds and pests through outdoor recreation activities. Relevant activities such as bushwalking, camping or trail use, or projects that educate participants on best-practice biosecurity behaviours.
Funding can be used for a wide range of activities, including education, training, engagement, tools, trials and on-ground actions that strengthen Queensland’s biosecurity outcomes.
