Cooperation, consideration, courtesy and commonsense.
Tallebudgera Outdoor and Environmental Education Centre is located on the southern bank of Tallebudgera Creek on the Gold Coast. Established in 1967, the Centre was the first government owned and operated outdoor or environmental education centre in Queensland.
Our mission is to ‘create positive change in the lives of young people across Queensland’ by delivering specialised outdoor and environmental education programs and vocational education and training for senior students.
The natural beauty of the creek estuary, ocean beaches, rock pools and rainforests offer visiting students a unique learning opportunity. The Centre’s core program is designed to allow students to explore and experience these places and learn about the significant Indigenous history, how people value the local area and to connect to natural world.
Students, teachers and community groups have access to comfortable residential facilities, specialised equipment, unique learning sites and experienced educators delivering programs through day excursions or 5-day residential camp experiences.
As a Registered Training Organisation (Code 30685) we also provide a range of training courses for teachers, outdoor recreation leaders and school students.
Courses offered include:
- FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways
- AHC21016 Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management
- Bushwalking Leader – Tracked Environments
