Advanced RAW First Aid

People that work or play in remote areas often require more realistic training than an typical urban based First Aid course. RAW First Aid courses give you extended knowledge and skills to deal with situations that may occur whilst in a remote location. Our courses are scenario based and taught by experienced healthcare professionals, which means you get hands on experience to prepare you for the real thing. They are fun, practical and very comprehensive. We use fake blood and make up to give the realistic effect.​

Topics include:

• Patient Assessment
• Basic Life support (CPR, AED)
• Traumatic Injuries- Spinal Injury (including Spinal clearance assessment), Head Injury, Bleeding and Basic Wound Management
• Musculoskeletal Injuries (Fractures, Disclocations & Soft tissue- includes relocating dislocations, re-alignment of angulated fractures.)
• Environmental Injuries
• Bites & Stings
• Medical Emergencies
• Long term patient care
• Aeromedical Evacuation
• Medical Legal Issues

This course includes the following nationally recognised units of competency:

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID011 Provide first aid
HLTAID013 Provide first aid in remote or isolated site
HLTAID014- Provide Advanced First Aid
HLTAID015- Provide Advanced Resuscitation & Oxygen Therapy
