Health and Wellbeing Queensland’s first ConnectingQ ECHO® Session of 2025 will feature “Plogging”, a sustainable initiative that merges physical activity with environmental stewardship. Plogging effortlessly integrates the act of picking up litter with jogging or walking. Join us to explore the health, environmental and social advantages of plogging.
Speakers will include:
- Dr Stephanie Schoeppe, Central Queensland University, Research Fellow, Physical Activity Research Group Appleton Institute, School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences.
- Karin Traeger, Founder of ‘The plastic runner’ and Founder of La Loyka Impact Consulting.
Stephanie and Karin will share the motivations and challenges encountered in establishing and maintaining this practice, along with the valuable insights gained from their efforts to foster this initiative within the community.
Please note: If you have registered for a previous ECHO® Series session, there is no need to register again. You will automatically receive an email with a link to join this session which you can use to join if available.
