The Shimano MTB GP’s events are all about ‘seriously fun racing!’ Podium chasers can line up with Australia’s elites and experienced amateur endurance racers, plus casual racers will have a blast, all feeling safe and part of an inspiring community.

With its event centre at Mount Douglas Reserve, the racing circuit will feature the most popular trail sections and always aim to feature some hidden gems that will make any mountain biker’s heart skip a beat! Bring the family along for a perfect riding and racing weekend getaway.

Race for four (GP4) or six (GP6) hours solo or in relay pairs. There are age-group and eBike categories. Expect less of a winners-only-focused competition, but a positive and inclusive experience for all racers.

This event forms part of two massive back-to-back weekends of great racing in Townsville, with a Rocky Trail Academy Schools event on Friday 25th June and then the Fox Superflow across Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th June.

This event has COVID-19 Safety rules in place, please check the event website for all the details. Competitors must sign up online. This event tracks all participants including non-racing spectators or supporters. Please check in to the event via the QR Code on-site.
