Sunrise Peak Psychology and Adventure Therapy

Evidence-based in-clinic and outdoor therapeutic services

Sunrise Peak Psychology and Adventure Therapy is a Brisbane-based psychology practice offering evidence-based in-clinic and outdoor therapeutic services. Founded by Clinical Psychologist Karen Breedon, our practice blends traditional mental health support with innovative nature-based experiences to help individuals reconnect with themselves, others and the natural world.

Sunrise Peak Psychology supports children, adolescents and adults through a wide range of offerings including Walk-and-Talk sessions, Adventure Therapy holiday programs for young people and Narrative Walks for older teens and adults. And also provide professional development retreats for practitioners, such as our CPD-eligible wellness retreat in Bali and are working towards providing therapeutic multi-day hikes to practitioners in iconic locations like Tasmania’s Three Capes Track in 2026.

Their programs are evidence-based, designed with inclusivity in mind, and delivered by registered psychologists and facilitators experienced in both clinical care and outdoor safety. Operating in forest and parkland areas across South-East Queensland, we are passionate about creating meaningful, low-barrier access to mental health support and fostering sustainable practitioner wellbeing.

Clinical Psychologist, Karen Breedon and her team of mental health professionals are dedicated to providing personalised care to each of their clients. They specialise in treating a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, panic, depression, emotional dysregulation, neurodiversity, trauma and grief and loss.
