National Youth Volunteer Week

From 10–16 August, organisations, schools, community groups and volunteers across Australia will come together to celebrate the incredible impact young people make through volunteering.

Formerly known as National Student Volunteer Week, the campaign has evolved to recognise the many ways young people contribute to their communities, whether they’re studying, working, taking a gap year, or forging their own path.

Every day, young volunteers are leading projects, supporting local communities, protecting the environment, mentoring others, responding to emergencies and creating positive change across the country.

National Youth Volunteer Week (NYVW) is an opportunity to celebrate these contributions, inspire more young people to get involved, and recognise the vital role that schools, families, volunteer-involving organisations and communities play in creating safe, inclusive and meaningful volunteering experiences.
