The peak body for all forms of recreational and competitive cycling
AusCycling is the new National Sport Organisation (NSO) established to lead and develop all forms of cycling throughout the country.
An amalgamation of the former NSO’s of Mountain Bike Australia, Cycling Australia (CA) and BMX Australia (BMXA) (and the state organisations of CA and BMXA) AusCycling represents over 52,000 members across BMX, BMX Freestyle, Cyclo-Cross, E-Sport, Mountain Bike, Para-Cycling, Road, Track and Lifestyle (recreational and commuter) riding throughout Australia.
AusCycling works across all aspects of cycling and riding in Australia, from grassroots to elite. We represent all disciplines and participants at every step of their riding journey. Formed in November 2020 from 19 separate governing bodies, our goal is to unite, connect and grow cycling and riding in a sustainable, innovative, and inclusive way.
We represent more than 50,000 members and 450 clubs and proudly run the High Performance program which takes our elite athletes to the Olympics, Paralympics, World and National Championships and more.
Our ambition is to be a global leader in cycling, respected for our positive impact on and off the bike. We exist to ensure that current and future generations experience both the simple joy of riding a bike, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
AusCycling’s vision is to make Australia a nation of bike riders, to advocate for our riders’ safety, build strong club communities and to make all forms of cycling accessible to everyone be it on a track, off a jump, in the great Australian bush or on the road.
