Orielle Michaelis-Thorpe - Aboriginal Youth Sport Climber
My name is Orielle Michaelis-Thorpe. My mob are Bidjara and Dhunghutti. I am a 16 year old Year 12 student (2026) at Kedron State High School who loves climbing. I climb in Boulder and Lead competitively and am in the Australian National Youth team for U19 Lead, competing for the third year in a row at the World Youth Climbing Championships. This year, 2026, I will be competing in Arco, Italy.
When I am not training or studying, I am out bush either doing cultural stuff, climbing or hiking. I also love dancing, painting, cooking, op shopping and music
