Refining the risk assessment tool

The Centre for Human Factors and Systems Science at the University of Sunshine Coast is conducting a project to develop an online digital risk assessment tool for use in led outdoor activities. The new tool, STARS (Systems Thinking Accident and Risk System), will help improve the existing UPLOADS* database.

As a part of the project, the research team are conducting two group workshops to design the STARS tool based on the needs of the led outdoor activity sector.

Recruiting participants …

They are inviting led outdoor activity leaders and experts in safety and risk and prospective risk assessment who are 18 years of age or older, fluent in English, and reside in Australia, to participate in this study. Participation is completely voluntary.

The workshops will be conducted online using Teams. Further details about the workshops will be provided after eligible participants have signed the consent form. Workshop Dates
Participants should be able to attend BOTH workshops

Workshop 1: Tuesday 13/10 at 14:00-16:30 (QLD time)
Developing the risk assessment tool and improving the current UPLOADS system
Workshop 2: Wednesday 25/11 at 14:00-16:00 (QLD time)
Refining the design of the risk assessment tool after consultation with the software developer.
