New Queensland Cabinet

Premier Crisafulli reveals new line up before swearing in at Government House

Up to the minute news story from ABC News covering the announcement of the new Queensland Cabinet.

Position of particular significance to the outdoor sector include:

Tim Mander is the new Minister for Sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games Minister.

Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie is minister for state development, infrastructure and planning, and industrial relations.

Tim Nicholls now has the health portfolio, and John-Paul Langbroek is minister for education and the arts.

We offer our congratulations to the new government and look forward to working closely with the relevenat sdepartments for the betterment of the outdoor sector.

On a sadder note, there is no treaty minister on Mr Crisafulli’s frontbench.

After the Voice referendum, Mr Crisafulli promised to roll back the Path to Treaty legislation claiming the Voice had divided the country. The portfolio of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander partnerships, held under the Miles government by Quandamooka woman Leeanne Enoch, has gone to Fiona Simpson.
