Do you have a great idea to increase female participation in sport and recreation?
Do you have a great idea for a new initiative to increase female participation in sport and active recreation? We want to hear from you!
Applications are now open for Get Out, Get Active grants of up to $40,000 to deliver enjoyable, accessible and affordable sport and active recreation activities for women and girls across Queensland.
The Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing is providing $1 million in grant funding to local councils, and for the first time, $700,000 is available for not-for-profit community sport and recreation organisations as part of the Embracing 2018 Legacy Program for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
With little over a year to go until the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, this funding creates additional opportunities for women and girls to Get Out and Get Active in their communities right across the state.
If you think your council or club may be able to participate in this great initiative jump on our website for further details. The closing date for applications is 28 April 2017.
