Released for feedback to support the growth of the state's tourism industry.
A draft Queensland Tourism and Transport Strategy (QTTS) has been released for feedback to support the growth of the state’s tourism industry.
The purpose of this strategy is to ensure the transport network and soft infrastructure supports tourism growth into the future. It will detail the approach to transport planning and identify tourists’ requirements for future planning and investment across the transport network.
The draft QTTS has been drafted from the results of the Queensland Tourism and Transport Strategy Discussion Paper and is a detailed supplement to Advancing Tourism 2016–20: Growing Queensland Jobs.
A joint initiative of the Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games (DTESB) and the Department of Transport and Main Roads, the development of the strategy is being informed by an industry reference group.
