Supporting First Nations peoples improve the health and vitality of their communities
Help close the gap in health inequality for First Nations communities by undertaking a volunteer position next summer at a remote community swimming pool in Central Australia. The Y NT is currently seeking expressions of interest from potential volunteers to join their local teams of Pools Coordinators, Lifeguards and Swim teachers based in Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa) and Utju (Areyonga).
Working alongside local people based in remote communities, volunteers will be involved in delivering swimming and water safety education, health promotion programs, supervising open swim sessions, supporting local trainees and ensuring safe operations of the community pool.
