On Tuesday, August 6, they announced the new name – ACTIVE QUEENSLANDERS INDUSTRY ALLIANCE.
The Active Queenslanders Industry Alliance, is a service provider established by and for the fitness, sport and active recreation industry, supports workforce, organisation and club development. The AQIA also provides direct support to eligible fitness, sport and recreation organisations and clubs to assist with:

- Free initial consultations for legal and HR advice
- Free education and training resources
- Subsidised strategic and financial planning
Visit the website www.aqia.org.au to learn how they can support your organisation or club’s volunteers or staff. They have partnered with a number of organisations to offer organisations and clubs access to a range of free and discounted resources to strengthen your committees and volunteer roles.
The AQIA is also planning an industry and volunteer SYMPOSIUM on 15 and 16 November 2019 in Brisbane.
