A recent story from We Are Explorers on Australian pro cyclist Lachlan Morton who has shattered the record for cycling around Australia—beating the previous time by over a week! Covering 14,210km in just 30 days, 9 hours, and 59 minutes, he far surpassed his 35-day goal and the 2011 record. Starting and finishing in Port Macquarie, Morton tackled 44,000m of elevation, pushing through over 450km per day. More than just a record-breaking ride, this journey was about rediscovering his homeland—one epic pedal stroke at a time.
