Ute bogged on protected saltpan

Recent ABC News story highlighting the importance of keeping vehicles off protected areas.

A man has been fined $322 after his ute became bogged in a salt pan in North Queensland’s Bowling Green National Park.

The vehicle sank to its axles and could not be retrieved for six weeks.

The Department of Environment is reminding people not to drive in protected areas.
