Heatwave Health Warning Update

See the following updates from QLD Health on heatwave health warning and messaging:

1. A Queensland Health Guide on Heatwave Health Warning and Messaging for Heat Health Stakeholders 

This Guide complements the Heatwave Management Sub-Plan and was drafted in response to external stakeholder questions and feedback.
The Guide includes:

    • Outline of heatwave health communications thresholds
    • Heat health resources

2. Heatwave Communications Kit
This expanded kit now includes:

    • Two new assets in “preparing for extreme heat / heatwaves”:
      • Post 5: Pram safety in hot temperatures
      • Post 6: how heat affects your body
    • One new asset in “during a heatwave”
      • Post 5: Hydration
    • Added links to RSPCA “Chill out” page
    • 2 CALD audience posters
      • Note: Translations in 13 languages will be available in January.

There will be some additions to the asset library over the next few months, so please always use the link for latest version of the Kit (allow 20 seconds to load).
