The research team at HumanAbility, the Jobs and Skills Council for aged and disability services, children’s education and care, health, human (community) services and sport and recreation are currently undertaking a major, multi-part study of the VET workforce in these sectors to identify its demographic profile, challenges, solutions and opportunities.

They have launched a survey to delve into factors that help or hinder employee attraction and retention to help identify strategies that will support and strengthen the workforce and ensure a solid pipeline of skilled care and support professionals.

This research is part of a larger effort driven by the Commonwealth Government release of the National Plan to Address VET Workforce Challenges in October 2024 also known as the VET Workforce Blueprint.
