Impact of COVID-19 as at March 2021
Measuring the ongoing impacts of the pandemic
While we continue to navigate our way through the ‘new normal’ in 2021 a huge thanks must be extended to the clubs who shared their experiences with us last year via the Queensland Community Sport and Recreation Clubs Survey: Impacts of COVID-19 as at August 2020.
The survey results gave us valuable insights into your experiences in returning to play after COVID-19 health restrictions eased in Queensland.
A total of 1,213 respondents covering 99 sport and recreation activities across Queensland participated in the survey. Some key insights from the report are available as an infographic or you can see the full report.
The findings from this survey will continue to assist the Queensland Government to work with industry partners, including the sector’s peak bodies QSport and Outdoors Queensland, to develop strategies to support the sport and active recreation community in its long-term recovery.
To assist in identifying and measuring the ongoing impacts of the pandemic on community sport and recreation clubs we are asking for your assistance to complete a follow-up survey.
The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. Your responses and information provided (including any commercial-in-confidence or confidential information) will be used by the department to provide advice to government and determine appropriate government responses and support in relation to COVID-19.
The department may share your responses, organisation’s details and information with other State and Commonwealth Government agencies, the department’s contractors (who will be required to keep the information confidential) and other industry peak bodies for the purposes of providing advice to the department in relation to a Queensland Government COVID-19 response.
Your responses and information will otherwise be treated by the department as confidential.
The department may collate the information received through this process and publicly release or publish data and statistics in an aggregate and non-identifiable form.
The survey will remain open for 2 weeks and will close at 11.59pm on Monday, 29 March 2021.
