Brisbane City Council is growing your Brisbane lifestyle by turning Victoria Park into a world-class parkland, giving you more to see and do in a clean and green Brisbane.
Now is the time to share your big ideas on how we can evolve the existing space into an iconic destination for residents and visitors.
Creating Brisbane’s biggest park in 50 years means more opportunities to enjoy Brisbane’s beautiful climate and connect with family and friends in the places that make our city great.
The enhanced park will be more than double the size of the City Botanic Gardens, helping to make Brisbane an even better place to live and relax.
The existing golf course space is proposed to transition into a parkland that everyone can enjoy, while keeping the popular putt putt course, driving range and functions centre.
During 2019-20, community consultation will occur to create a Vision for Victoria Park that will protect green space for future generations and guide future enhancements.
From 2021, works are expected to start to transform the golf course into public parkland.

To spark interest and big ideas for what the new parkland could look like, Council asked some of Brisbane’s leading design professionals to develop independent creative ideas for Victoria Park.
These ideas are not necessarily what will be built or included in the draft Vision document but are intended to inspire and capture the attention and imagination of the public about different opportunities for the park in the future.
