Announcing The 2018 Outdoors Queensland Award Finalists
We are very pleased to announce the finalists in the 2018 Outdoors Queensland Awards.
As the quality of all the nominations was very high the judges had to consider very carefully while making their decisions. Although not all were selected as finalists, the judges commented that all the nominees were contenders and were to be congratulated on the work they do and the impression they have made on others.
The Brisbane City Council Award for Outstanding Achievement (Organisation)
This award is open to clubs, organisations and enterprises that have made a valuable contribution to the outdoor community and operate with professionalism and to high standards.

This award is for individuals who have demonstrated professionalism, high achievement in a particular field and exemplary role modelling.

The recipient of this award will have achieved significant success in encouraging participation in outdoor activities through innovative program development and/or marketing.

The Nature Play QLD Nature Play Education Award

The Queensland Government Award for Outdoor Places and Spaces

The Queensland Government Nature Play Community Award

The award winners will be announced at the Outdoors Queensland Awards Dinner held at the Rydges South Bank Brisbane on Friday October 26th, 2018.
The annual Outdoors Queensland Awards Dinner is a popular networking opportunity for members of the outdoor community to get together to celebrate the Award winners – the individuals and organisations who have made a positive and lasting difference to the outdoors and outdoor recreation in Queensland, in all its various guises.
Date: Friday October 26
Time: 6.30 pm arrival for 7.00 pm start (end approx 11.00 pm)
Dress Code: Smart Casual – or a chance to get dressed up!
Guest speaker for the evening will be Jemma Wilson, a professional offroad motorcycle racer, who has won both state and Australian championships (see below)
In addition there will be raffle prizes, great food, good company and lots of fun!
