Calling all Sport and Recreation Clubs
Blue Card Services is excited to be hosting a series of information sessions to increase awareness and boost knowledge of the blue card system.
Throughout the month of August, we will be providing free online information sessions specifically for Sport and Recreation Clubs. Get ready to ensure you and your team are match fit for working with kids.
We want to ensure our youngest community members are set up for success when participating in activities within your club environment so we invite you to register and attend the following information sessions:
Who needs a blue card for sport and recreation clubs: This session will include practical examples of when you need a blue card, when you don’t, information on who cannot apply for a blue card, and a brief overview of obligations under the blue card system.
The blue card check: This session focuses on the eligibility and assessment requirements for blue card screening, when a person cannot apply, why linking applicants and card holders is critical, and why organisations should not make everyone get a blue card.
Safeguarding children: This session provides organisations with information about how to develop and implement an effective child and youth risk management strategy to better protect children.
Benefits of the Organisation Portal: This session is for organisations who want to learn more about the benefits of the Organisation Portal and how to get the best user experience to meet their blue card obligations.
Visit our event page for more information, including how to register and attend.
Select your date & register! These sessions are all held frequently and online.
We look forward to helping you learn more about the blue card system and keep kids safe in Queensland.
