Supporting eligible young athletes, coaches and officials

The Emerging Athlete Pathways program (EAP) supports eligible young athletes, coaches and officials aged 10-18 years to progress on a development pathway by providing financial assistance to help alleviate the costs associated with attending state, national and international events.

We are now accepting event nominations for events held from 1 January to 31 March 2025

 

If you have previously submitted events via the online form, click on this link to login with your email and associated password. If you are a new user of our online event form, you will receive a separate email from ‘Microsoft’ to login to Sport and Recreation Forms.

Please follow the instructions below and refer to the EAP FAQs for further information.

  • All form fields are mandatory (incomplete fields will not enable the submit button).
  • Event start dates must be in the future. Events submitted after the start date are ineligible.
  • For verification purposes, a website link or document that confirms all the event details (event name, dates, location/s, age groups, disciplines) must be provided on the form, including the selection process for attendance at the event.

How can you help participants to apply for funding?

  • Provide the correct documents (click here for examples) to your selected athletes, coaches and officials that:
    • confirms their selection to the team/role
    • clearly states the event name, start date and location of the event
  • Encourage participants to apply as soon as the eligible events are listed on the website and have the correct documentation ready. Applications for each event will close six months after the start date of the event and applications may take up to 8 weeks to process.
  • Late applications will not be accepted.
