Seeking Expressions of Interest

Opportunity to join new Nature-based Health Committee

Outdoors Queensland has established a new Nature-based Health Committee to lead the creation of a peak body for outdoor therapeutic and wellbeing practices. The committee will serve as a unified voice, advocating for the integration of outdoor therapies into Queensland’s health and mental health systems. This initiative aligns closely with the Queensland Shifting Minds 2023–2028 mental health plan.

The committee will support the Outdoors Queensland Board with advice, recommendations, and guidance on developing this important peak body.

We’re now calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from passionate individuals who are eager to contribute their time, energy, and expertise. EOIs are welcome from everyone — you don’t need to be a current Outdoors Queensland member to apply (though membership may be taken into consideration).

Committee positions are voluntary, non-representative of specific organisations or disciplines, and carry a term of up to two years.

To apply, please submit a one-page letter outlining your perspective on nature-based health opportunities and challenges in Queensland, along with a current resume.

EOIs close on 20 April 2025 and can be emailed to admin@outdoorsqueensland.com.au.
