Shade Grant open!
Reduce the risk of skin cancer and protect children in your care against UV exposure by applying for the SunSmart Shade Creation Initiative today.
Not-for-profit organisations catering for children and young people (0-18 years) can apply for funding to purchase shade structures under this joint initiative by Cancer Council Queensland and the Queensland Government.
Eligibility: All Queensland based not-for-profit schools, outside school hours care services, early childhood centres, junior sports clubs and youth community groups are eligible. Your organisation could receive up to 80% of the total cost of your shade project with a maximum of $2000 for portable shade (marquees) and up to $30,000 for permanent shade (shade sails/hard structures).

Applications close 5pm Monday 9 November 2020.
Organisations that have received funding in the past two years are ineligible to apply but are encouraged to review their SunSmart status at https://cancerqld.org.au/cancer-prevention/programs-resources/national-sunsmart-program/.
Cancer Council Queensland and the Queensland Department of Health are excited to support the SunSmart Shade Creation Initiative.
