Introducing MediaCast’s ‘Pro Bono for Purpose’ grants – an exciting opportunity for NFPs and charities to harness the power of PR, start a movement and create real and lasting change. The grant is designed to give organisations the opportunity to build momentum through media relations and amplify their message across radio, tv, print and digital outlets.
MediaCast are experts when it comes to storytelling and will work with you to develop a purpose-led campaign, utilising whatever assets you have available. Whether you are looking to support an upcoming appeal, highlight a social injustice or raise awareness on behalf of a vulnerable cohort, MediaCast want to help you use media for change.
The MediaCast‘Pro Bono for Purpose’ grants will be awarded to the value of $5,000 and $10,000 and can be used as the full value of a campaign or part value of a larger campaign. They will work with you on the best use of budget and to ensure your messaging reaches as many Australians as possible. So if you are a not-for-profit or charity with a mission to make a change, apply today.

Key dates
- Applications open 20th October 2023 and close on 30th November 2023
- Successful grant applicants will be notified by Monday 8th December 2023
Application criteria
Applicants can apply for either a $5,000 or $10,000 services grant which can be the full value of the campaign, or part value of a media relations campaign. Complete our short application form telling us how your organisation will use the grant and the impact this would have on the wider community.
- Campaign must have a clear objective to create positive impact
- Campaigns must start after 1 January 2024 and be completed before 30 June 2024
- Grant must be used for a media relations campaign
- Must be registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and based in Australia
- Entrants cannot have previously used MediaCast’s services
- Applicants must have capacity to effectively collaborate on awarded campaign with MediaCast
