Survey to shape the development of the Action Plan
Published: 14 July 2026
The Australian Sports Commission is inviting people across sport, disability and community networks to complete a survey that will help shape the development of a national Disability Sport Action Plan.
Across Australia, many organisations and individuals are working to make sport more accessible and inclusive for people with disability. But barriers remain, including access, awareness, attitudes, cost, workforce capability and unclear participation opportunities.
The survey will help identify what is working, where the gaps are, and what needs to change. These insights will guide future priorities and support stronger outcomes for people with disability in sport.
We encourage you to complete the survey and share it with your networks. We want to hear from people with disability, families, carers, volunteers, coaches, officials, administrators, providers and anyone with experience or ideas. We are also keen to hear from people who have left or have never been involved in disability sport so we can better understand why.
The more voices heard, the stronger the Disability Sport Action Plan will be.
