The Wildflow series

Restorative adult nature connection

Published: 24 June 2026

Walk gently. Make slowly. Connect deeply.

The Wildflow Series is a restorative nature connection program for adults developed by Outdoors Queensland member, Birdwings Forest School

Created in response to growing community interest in restorative adult nature connection, The Wildflow Series is a gentle and restorative weekly outdoor experience designed for adults seeking time in nature, creative expression, and meaningful connection.

Across six weeks, participants gather in beautiful natural places in the Gold Coast Hinterland, to walk slowly, work with their hands using natural fibres and materials, listen to story, and reflect together

Developed by Birdwings Forest School, drawing on years of experience facilitating nature connection experiences for children, families, educators, and community, The Wildflow Series is a guided, ongoing experience designed to fit gently into everyday life while supporting calm, connection, creativity, and wellbeing.

You do not need to be artistic, highly fit, or experienced in nature to participate.
The focus is on process, presence, and restoration – you simply need a willingness to arrive.
