The World Youth Climb Championships

Your donation will help Aboriginal climber, and Outdoors Queensland Individual Member, Orielle Michaelis-Thorpe represent Australia in the World Youth Climb Championships being held in Arco, Italy in July 2026.
I am a proud and strong Aboriginal sport climber who has represented Australia internationally in 2024, 2025 and will again in 2026. My mob are Bidjara (South West Qld) and Dhunghutti (Mid North East Coast). I am committed to being a role model in my sport for other young Aboriginal athletes.
I am where I am today because of all this support and the hard work and commitment I put into my training for competitions. Over this weekend (16-17 May) I competed in the National Youth Competition in Lead Climbing for Under 19 Females. I was the only female athlete to send (reach the top) in Qualifiers and the Finals route so it was a clean win for me. As the National Youth Under 19 Lead champion I am now in the official Australian Youth team and invited to compete at the World Youth Championships in Arco, Italy in July.
Your support means Aboriginal athletes see their mob on the World stage and know it is possible to follow their sporting dreams internationally and not let financial barriers stop them. Help Orielle raise funds to prepare & compete in Lead at the World Youth Climb Championships in Italy this July!!!
