Grant applications now open

Grant applications for the Queensland Government’s Kickstarter program are now open to non-government organisations, with a total of approximately $7.5 million in funding across the state.
Across 4 years, $50 million in funding has been committed to the program to trial the best new ideas to intervene early with youths who are displaying anti-social and early criminal behaviours and get them back on track.
Individual grants of up to $300,000 will be available to initiatives that focus on reducing youth crime, identifying and addressing the range of needs for at-risk youth, repairing relationships with family and kin, and supporting re-engagement with education, training, or employment.
We are seeking to engage non-government organisations to consult with their communities to design and deliver programs that will teach youths that anti-social behaviour carries consequences, while also providing connections, guidance, and discipline to get them back on track.
Early intervention initiatives delivered as part of the Kickstarter program will play a critical role in our strategy to reduce youth crime and reoffending rates by diverting youths away from the justice system.
If you have a solution that could align with the needs of your community to intervene early to support at-risk youths and get them back on track …
