Published: 28 May 2026

The community of Blackbutt is planning for the future of the BVRT and parklands precinct, and now is the time to hear from the people who know it best – our community, the riding community.

The precinct already plays many roles: a trailhead, a outdoor recreation space, a future as a place of remembrance, a festival location and a gathering place for locals and visitors. As usage grows and needs of our community change, it is important that the community are considered make sure any future improvements reflect community values, local identity, and what matters most to Blackbutt.

This short survey invites you to share your ideas on what the precinct should be known for, how it should be used, how heritage and commemoration are included, and what improvements should be prioritised soon. Your feedback will help guide planning, design, staging, and funding decisions — and ensure the precinct develops in a way that is respectful, practical, and community‑led.

Whether you live locally, run a business, belong to a community or sporting group, or visit Blackbutt via the trail, your input matters.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to help shape the future of this important place.
