Play On! Sports Vouchers

Play On! Sports Vouchers provide eligible Queensland families with up to $200 to help children and young people aged 5–17 years participate in sport and active recreation.

The program provides practical cost-of-living relief for families while helping more children get active through sport and recreation. It also supports clubs and sporting organisations by making it easier for families to get involved and encouraging greater participation.

Eligible Queensland families will have two opportunities to apply for a Play On! Sports Voucher this financial year. Families planning for summer sport are encouraged to apply in this round, while those planning for winter sport later in the year may prefer to wait for the next application round. As each eligible child can receive one Play On! Sports Voucher per financial year, it’s important that clubs are registered and ready to accept vouchers before applications open.

The program also includes dedicated support for children with disability and children living in regional and country Queensland. Recent eligibility changes mean more clubs and organisations in regional and country Queensland may now be eligible to become registered Play On! activity providers.

Key dates

• Applications open: Monday 27 July 2026
• Applications close: Friday 18 December 2026 (unless available vouchers are fully allocated earlier)
• Voucher expiry: Friday 18 June 2027
