Health & Wellbeing Community Grant now open

Applications open for 2025 Health & Wellbeing Community Grants.

There is up to $400,000 in total funding available to support community-led initiatives aimed at improving community health and wellbeing across Queensland.

About the grants

Grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 are available for community-led projects. Local councils, non-government organisations, community groups, schools and other eligible entities are encouraged to apply.

The grants are designed to support innovative, practical projects informed by evidence, community insight or local knowledge that focus on the areas of nutrition, physical activity, sleep, wellbeing, and/or health equity.

This year’s grants build on the success of the 2023 program, which supported a diverse range of projects, from culturally tailored nutrition programs to school-based movement initiatives.  These projects delivered promising outcomes in communities across the state.

Through partnership, co-design, and community leadership, these grants aim to help communities implement solutions that improve health outcomes, reduce obesity and address health inequities, giving Queenslanders the best chance to live a healthier life, no matter who they are, or where they live.

We encourage you to please share this opportunity widely. A stakeholder kit containing content and graphics to help promote the grants amongst your network is available here.
