Sport and recreation vouchers set to boost kids’ participation across Queensland
Launching soon to help Queensland kids stay active.
From Monday 4 August, families across Queensland can apply for a $200 Play On! voucher per child aged 5 to 17, to help cover the cost of sport and recreational activities.
Delivered in two rounds each year to align with summer or winter sports, Play On! aims to get more kids involved—regardless of where they live or their ability.
Key features of the program include:
- $200 per voucher to help with participation costs
- A dedicated allocation for regional and country communities
- A strong focus on inclusive sport, so children of all abilities can take part
- Ongoing investment of $62.5 million per year to support families
