National Sport Volunteering Passport Initiative

Making volunteering more accessible

Posted on 10.06.2024

As part an ongoing commitment to enhancing the sports volunteering landscape in Australia, the Australian Sports Commission is excited to invite volunteers, sport organisations and volunteer coordinators to participate in a concept testing session for the new National Sport Volunteering Passport initiative. This project is being developed to make volunteering more accessible and efficient for individuals and sporting organisations alike.

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) are seeking all kinds of volunteers to get involved with testing an idea around a ‘volunteer passport’. It will take place online for around 1 hour.

What is meant by volunteering? To some people it might be called helping out, lending a hand, duty, being hospitable or charitable. Volunteering is defined as ‘time willingly given for the common good and without financial gain.’

Why participate? This is a chance to influence how volunteering is facilitated nationwide, ensuring that the system works better for everyone involved.

The ASC would love to hear from you by completing this online form:

Thank you for helping shape the future of sport volunteering in Australia.
