The International Camping Fellowship (ICF) proudly presents the XII International Camping Congress in Tarragona Spain – October 2023

ICF takes great pride in announcing a call to all camp professionals to the Twelfth International Camping Congress in October 2023. The Congress takes place in the beautiful and historic city of Tarragona, Catalunya just one hour south of Barcelona along the eastern coast of Spain.

In addition to the tradition of excellent educational offerings and networking opportunities of the International Camping Congress, ICC 2023 presents the best in hospitality, food and tourism. Pre – and Post – Congress Tours combine camp study tours with the best in regional recreation and adventure tourism.

Camps in Catalunya, and throughout Spain, have strong historic roots in camping and outdoor education. Camp professionals and academics are already planning their contributions to the global camp community. Sharing the regional experience and professional knowledge alongside that of ICF, we can celebrate our diversity and celebrate what we share.

Spain is a jewel of southern Europe. It includes 17 autonomous regions with diverse geography and cultures. Visit Madrid’s Royal Palace and Prado museum, Segovia’s Alcázar and Roman aqueduct, Barcelona’s Sagrada Família and Rambla. Explore the mountains and the beaches. Following three disrupting years of pandemic and politics and six years since the last ICC in Sochi, Russia, the children of the world need camp and the camping world needs fellowship more than ever. Camp professionals need to come together as well. The Congress theme of “Come Together to Rise Higher” echoes the cultural tradition of Castell – communities of people coming together in common purpose to construct towers to lift up young children to their highest achievements.
