Rising sea levels due to climate change
New article from We Are Explorers looking at the potential for popular surf breaks in Australia to be negatively impacted by climate change.
Rising sea levels causing intense coastal storms, severe beach erosion, and water quality issues may forever change Australia’s best surf spots like The Pass at Byron Bay, Burleigh Point, Noosa Heads, and Bells Beach, a new study states.
Study undertaken by the Surfrider Foundation Australia shows sea levels may rise up to 66cm by 2090 forever impacting famous Australian surfing locations.
