Eighteen people have been handed 22 fines totalling $7,606 over an unauthorised hut and other illegal activity at Curtis Island National Park in central Queensland.
Queensland’s Environment Department says the group hunted with firearms, drove in restricted areas and cleared trees to build the hut.
