$30 million Games On! Grassroots Infrastructure Program is now open!

The second round of the Crisafulli Government’s Games On! program launched on 3rd February 2026, with sport and recreation clubs to apply for a share in $30 million funding.  Application close 18 March 2026.

Our $30 million Games On! Grassroots Infrastructure Program will help build a lasting sporting legacy for Queensland as we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and we’re inviting eligible organisations to register their interest for this funding opportunity.

The program supports upgraded, accessible, and inclusive facilities that benefit local communities and future international events. Funding is available through two categories:

  • Field of Play Fund: Supports community-level projects, such as upgrading fields, courts, and club amenities, to encourage greater participation in sport.  – $20 million of available funding focusing on smaller, community-level infrastructure projects that enhance participation opportunities and upgrade amenities.
  • Partnership Fund: Supports larger projects, like multi-use precincts, to create spaces that bring communities together and meet future event needs.  $10 million of available funding for new larger-scale infrastructure projects or upgraded and re-developed precincts.

Games On! is part of the Olympics and Paralympics legacy, with hundreds of grassroots clubs across the State to benefit from upgrades in the leadup to 2032.

Register your interest now.  Applications close 18 March 2026.  Shortlisted organisation will then be invited to submit a full application.

To support strong applications, organisations can also explore the new Places and Spaces infrastructure resources on Sport HQ.
