Expressions of Interest now OPEN

The Queensland Government, through the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety is now accepting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Accessible Australia initiative to identify potential projects in Queensland that align with future funding opportunities that may be announced by the Australian Government.
The Accessible Australia initiative aims to enhance accessibility and inclusion in community spaces, supporting people with disability to participate fully in their communities. Eligible organisations, including government-owned entities and not-for-profit organisations, can express interest in future funding to develop:
- changing Places toilet facilities (fixed and portable)
- beach access equipment (e.g., beach wheelchairs and accessible matting)
- all-terrain wheelchairs and pathways for national parks
- inclusive play spaces (e.g., liberty swings and sensory play equipment)
Funding contributions of up to $200,000 may be available.
Projects must commence within 12 months of funding approval and be completed within 18 months.
