Active Community Infrastructure

Round 1 funding now open

Posted on 15.11.2019

Do you have a great idea for an infrastructure solution that connects your community and inspires physical activity in your local area? Is there an organisation you would like to collaborate with to deliver your project?

Active Community Infrastructure will fund fit-for-purpose, universally-designed infrastructure to communities that need it most.

Through this new program, up to 150 infrastructure projects are set to benefit Queensland communities as part of a $40 million investment over three years.

The program will identify projects that:

  • demonstrate community collaboration
  • support diverse and inclusive need
  • activate community spaces to encourage more Queenslanders to get active.

Expressions of interest for Round 1 close on 6 December 2019.

To find out more about the program and the application process, visit qld.gov.au/activecommunityinfrastructure.

You can also contact your local Sport and Recreation office or phone 13 QGOV (13 74 68) for more information.
