Kangaroo Point Bollard Replacement

Kangaroo Point Bollard Replacement

Commencing in early November 2023

Posted on 25.10.2023

Works to replace rock-climbing bollards along the Kangaroo Point cliffs will be commencing in early November 2023.

As part of these works, seven rock-climbing bollards will be replaced with new stainless-steel bollards. This involves removing the old bollards, drilling the new bollards into rock and then filling them with grout.

These works will be undertaken Monday to Friday, from 7am to 5pm from early November 2023 to late December 2023, weather and site conditions permitting.

The new bollards will remain fenced off for one week after installation to allow for curing time and strength testing before being opened to the climbing community. The remaining bollards and cliff face will remain operational.

If you have any questions about the works, please contact the project team on 1800 669 416 or email cityprojects@brisbane.qld.gov.au.
